Friday Find: Mario Testino for MATE

In A Pinch of Quirky I conveyed my newly found admiration for pom pom details; my admiration for the quirky balls of fluff was a unexpected reaction to a host of spring/summer 2013 collections including, Tory Burch, Matthew Williamson, and Dolce & Gabbanna. I specifically was inspired by Tory Burch's pom pom fused necklaces and bags, Matthew Williamson's intricate pom pom clutches, and Dolce & Gabbana's over-sized pom pom earrings.

Now, after stumbling across Peruvian photographer Mario Testino exclusive collection of jewelry for Net-A-Porter.com, I am inspired all over again. I must get some pom pom's in my closet or at least in my jewelry box. According to the online fashion site, Testino was "inspired by the vibrant costumes and artisan craftwork captured in his iconic Alta Moda pictures." Moreover, "a percentage of each sale will be donated to the photographer’s Lima-based charity, MATE." (nap)
